Project 2025-2026

Saint-Mathieu-de-Rioux, July 29, 2025 The development of the mountain bike network at Parc du Mont-Saint-Mathieu, carried out by Kodiak TrailWorks, is progressing exceptionally well, and the results are already remarkable. Sculpted directly into the mountain’s distinctive red rock, the new trails offer an experience that is as technical and exhilarating as it is visually striking.

A unique decor, shaped by time

The new trails showcase one of Mont-Saint-Mathieu’s most distinctive natural features: its ferruginous red rock. This sandstone, over 400 million years old, lends the network a remarkable visual identity. Both rugged and spectacular, this terrain gives the project a signature character that is truly unique to our mountain.

Opening scheduled for spring 2026

Mountain biking enthusiasts will need to be patient a little longer: the official opening of the new network is planned for spring 2026. In the meantime, riders are invited to explore the other trails of the Bas-Saint-Laurent or simply dream of their first descent at Mont-Saint-Mathieu!

In total, over 14 kilometres of trails will be developed, offering something for every type of rider.

Access to the mountain is currently prohibited

For safety reasons and to preserve the integrity of the work in progress, access to the mountain is strictly prohibited at this time for cyclists, hikers, and motorized vehicles alike.

Your cooperation is essential to maintaining the quality of the future network and ensuring everyone’s safety.
