Saint-Mathieu-de-Rioux, July 29, 2025 – The development of the mountain bike network at Parc du Mont-Saint-Mathieu, by the company Kodiak TrailWorks, is progressing wonderfully, and the result is breathtaking. Carved from the red rocks characteristic of the mountain, these new trails promise an experience as technical and fun as impressive.

A unique decor, shaped by time

The new trails highlight a distinctive element of Mont-Saint-Mathieu: its ferruginous red rock. This sandstone, more than 400 million years old, gives the trails a striking visual character. A terrain that is both robust and spectacular, which gives the project a signature specific to our mountain.

An opening is scheduled for spring 2026

Mountain biking enthusiasts will have to wait a little longer: the official opening of the network is scheduled for spring 2026. In the meantime, we encourage enthusiasts to discover the other trails of Bas-Saint-Laurent, or simply to dream about their first descent at Mont-Saint-Mathieu! In total, more than 14 kilometres of trails will be developed: there will be something for everyone!

Access to the mountain is prohibited for the moment

For safety reasons and in order to preserve the integrity of the work carried out, access to the mountain remains strictly prohibited, both for cyclists, hikers and motorized vehicles. Your collaboration is essential to guarantee the quality of the future network and ensure the safety of all.
